Summer Fair

Glorious weather, a great atmosphere and a huge support from our parents, sponsors, pupils and staff made the Summer Fair one of the highest money raisers this year and the second highest fundraising year to date. From the generous donations from both parents and sponsors, organising and running of stalls and games by parents, staff and pupils, including great (outside) stalls holders, the day was a huge success. A few special mentions to Ella, Harry and Maxi who ran a stall, together with Leo who worked so hard on the raffle.

We raised £4770 at the Summer fair and a grand total of £14,872 for the last academic year. The money raised will go towards the development of Forest School, Performing Arts equipment: including lights for the hall, Apple devices for music and a much needed speaker for Dance. Some of the keyrings sold at the Summer Fair were designed and cut using the new laser cutter in Design and Technology, bought with fundraising money. Over the holidays, the Secondary Library will be revamped and benefit from the money raised from fundraising.

We raise much needed additional funds through a number of school events over the year including: Bag2School; Primary Christmas cards; gifting events; second hand uniform sales; performances and concerts; cake sales; discos and movie nights and of course our biggest fundraisers each year are the Christmas and Summer Fairs. Without your donations, attendance, help and support, these events would simply not be possible. So one big THANK YOU from us all at CFS.

This academic year, we are aiming to raise £20,000 for the school. We thank you in advance for your continued support next year. If you would like to volunteer at events or have any suggestions of way to raise money, please email fundraising@chichesterfreeschool.org.uk.
