Children's Bookfest Success
We’re so proud to celebrate the amazing success of our young writers at BookFest YA!
A huge congratulations to our Year 8 pupil Emily, who was named the First Chapter Winner in the BookFest YA creative writing competition. What an incredible achievement!
We’re also delighted to celebrate Sophie, another of our Year 8 pupils, who was named a runner-up.
The competition brought together talented young writers aged 11–16 from across the Chichester area. Finalists had the fantastic opportunity to read extracts from their work at a special awards ceremony in Chichester’s historic Assembly Room, in front of an audience of family, friends and teachers.
The event was part of BookFest YA, which gave local young people the chance to meet and be inspired by a wonderful range of YA and children’s authors.
Well done, Emily and Sophie — we’re incredibly proud of you both! Keep writing, keep creating and keep telling your stories!
