Cross Country Success
Three top ten finishes at West Sussex Schools Cross Country Event.
This week saw the first competitive outing for the CFS running team. Joining members of the weekly running club, local club members Laila and Lillie Hellyer represented the school at Bishop Luffa, coming an amazing first and third respectively in the Intermediate Girls event. The event was 3300m with Laila's time being 14:01 and Lillie finishing in 14:28. In the Junior Boys distance of 3000m, Harry Cruttenden secured a top ten place, finishing seventh after a dramatic sprint finish with a time of 12:19. Thomas Knight, Oscar Golby, Oscar Bailey and Jack Hughes-Ward all put a shift in on a muddy course to raise the profile of our team. We are so proud of them all. The club trains every Thursday after school and is open to all Secondary students.
