Dare to Dream and Rolls Royce mentoring
Over the last term, ‘Jack the Lad’ and the ‘Dare to Dream’ team (LoveLocalJobs.com) have been back in school, delivering their inspirational and careers related workshops to the whole of the Year 9 cohort.
In addition to this, 15 lucky Year 9 pupils had the opportunity to be mentored by current Rolls Royce employees this term. Those selected pupils gained much from the experience; thinking about their key skills, what employers are looking for, honing ideas about their future and how to celebrate the success but bounce back from adversity. The mentoring included a trip to Rolls Royce and what an experience these lucky 15 had, one that will sit with them for many years to come! If you look closely in the pictures below, you may see an ex-pupil of ours that took an apprenticeship position at Rolls Royce nearly two years ago, and is flourishing! We'd like to extend a huge thank you to @lovelocaljobs and Dare to Dream together with @rollsroycemotorcars for this wonderful opportunity for our pupils.
