Equestrian Team Summer 2025
August 20th 2025
This week was the return of the Schools Qualifying Show jumping at Hickstead, which we managed to gain a team and individual qualifications for over the course of the year. Olive P, Bea C, Elouise S placed 2nd in the 80/85 so qualified for the National Championships being held at Addington in the Autumn.
Lottie placed 1st in her class 90/95 which makes this her 3rd qualifying class for the National Championships. She will be representing CFS in the 90/95, 105 and 115 despite moving on to Sixth Form in September. Bea also competed as an individual in the 70 class finishing 11th after a really super clear round.
Sadly Daisy A who was to compete for CFS in her individual championship class and in the 80/85 team had to withdraw as her pony was not sound. We are hoping we can have Daisy as a ‘wild card’ to join our team of three in the championship, meaning another Year 11 who is still keen to represent CFS even after leaving school. Elouise has only recently moved to CFS but we managed to scoop her up into our team straight away; she's very talented and will be a super addition to this team, particularly as we have really upped our game with the competitiveness this year. Bea was competing a new ride 'Niknak' moving on from ponies to horses - a fantastic step up for Bea. She also has a new young horse join her family and we are so lucky to have Bea still able to compete for CFS on Niknak whilst she brings on her young horse Rose. We hope to see Rose compete with Bea for CFS in a year or so. Olive has made huge amounts of progress with her young pony Geno, which she should be congratulated for as Geno isn't an easy ride.
A very strong team of riders, who have done me proud yet again. Miss Emmett
