Final Principal's Tea Party with Mrs New
It was my absolute pleasure to host my final ever Principal's tea party for this fortnight's R5 winners. Pupils from both Primary and Secondary celebrated their amazing achievements with me this morning, with hot chocolate, cake and a game of Uno! Each pupil has also won five House Points towards their own totals and that of their House. Pupils won the award this time for such a range of things - from displaying the CFS SHINE values, for acts of kindness, for academic excellence, and several sporting achievements in and out of school.
Over the last seven years I have celebrated 1045 R5s and these tea parties are something that I will really miss. Having time to celebrate with the pupils, and having our youngest and eldest pupils mixing together and saying well done to each other, has been a complete joy. I know that Mr Garner is going to carry this tradition on.
Whilst not everyone can win an R5, tomorrow there will be a little treat for all pupils in the school... Although I haven't worked out how to do a really big game of Uno!
