Give for Good Charity Dinner

It’s the start of our charity fortnight and what better way to start it off than with our charity meal.   This years theme - 10 Years of CFS. The whole evening was centralised around themes of the different events we have had over the years, from sports day, the first school dinner served in the dining hall and the House Festival Cup. During the day our diligent team cooked up a storm lead by Head Chef Freddie and Sous Chef Blake. During the evening our hosting team was led by our Maitre D team, Tom and Coral, who made sure everything was up to restaurant standard and our guests were well looked after. The entertainment was brilliant and Ava and Lillie made sure their drinks and mocktails were flowing. We had chocolates and petit fours made by Ava which were a beautiful touch to end the evening. One of our Year 10’s Georgia also had a special project, our 10 year celebration cake! She made 12 layers of cake with vanilla buttercream, piping and fondant work as well as hand rolling all the roses, it was beautiful to see. The top tier was also a replication of the winning cake from our ‘Great CFS Bake Off’ this year.

Comments from the evening included:
"A huge well done to all, an amazing meal and well thought out."
"Wow, did students really make all this? I am amazed and a huge congratulations to them all!"
"I am extremely proud to sit here and enjoy the meal which I know the students have worked so hard to produce and listen to the entertainment with a rather wonderful strawberry lemonade in my hand.  It's not every day you get to go to a school and enjoy all of this!

Miss Pye said, "I am so proud of every single person who worked on the event.  It was hard work for all of them but they pulled it off beautifully and made sure the evening went smoothly. It has given them industry experience as well as pride in what they have achieved. A huge well done to all of the students."
