Spring concert at Lakeview Grange
On the afternoon of Friday 28th March pupils from Year 2 to Year 11 embarked on a journey across the bridge to perform a Spring Concert at Lakeview Grange Care Home. The pupils all take part in after school music clubs with Mrs Davis, subject lead for music, and they entertained the residents with their singing voices, their calm playing of the recorder and their skilled strumming of the ukulele. It ended with an intergenerational rendition of 'Hot Cross Buns' with all of the staff, residents and CFS pupils singing the Easter tune together.
Many of the CFS children spent some time chatting to the residents and they commented on how much they enjoyed it - even if they were a little nervous beforehand. The concert was thoroughly enjoyed by all and some of the residents will be joining us at school to enjoy the CFS Summer Concert on Wednesday 11th June.
