


Swimming Gala Success
CFS Swimmers Shine at Arun Leisure Centre Gala
On March 12th, pupils from CFS competed at the annual swimming gala held at Arun Leisure Centre, where their exceptional team spirit and sportsmanship shone brightly. The event was marked by cheering and supportive behaviour, as the swimmers demonstrated great unity and enthusiasm throughout the day. Overall , the girls placed 11th and the boys 7th in a strong field of 15 schools competing.
A standout performance came from Arthur T, who placed third overall out of 15 schools in the highly competitive 25m freestyle. Ella K also impressed, securing a strong finish in her 25m final.
The boys medley team, consisting of Harry C, Wilson B, Arthur T and Ethan C, delivered a remarkable performance, clinching a spot in the final of the medley relay race. The event also highlighted the bravery of those who stepped up to swim the notoriously difficult butterfly stroke, showing determination and courage.
Overall, the gala was a resounding success, with CFS swimmers demonstrating impressive skill and teamwork. The school is incredibly proud of all the participants, whose hard work and dedication made the day memorable for everyone involved. Well done to all! Miss Stapleton.
