


Team GB for Willow
In an inspiring feat of determination and skill, 14-year-old Willow Skipsey, has clinched a coveted spot on the GB Waterski Squad. Despite her relatively brief immersion in the sport, Willow's exceptional talent and unwavering commitment have propelled her to this remarkable milestone.
A Year 9 pupil at CFS, Willow discovered her passion for waterskiing just 18 months ago. What initially began as a casual after-school pursuit swiftly evolved into a journey marked by resilience and triumph, culminating in her selection for the GB Squad. Her initiation into the sport took place at Chichester Waterski, under the guidance of Coach Duke Hazzard, whose mentorship played a pivotal role in igniting Willow's passion. Building upon her foundation, Willow embarked on a year of competitive skiing, honing her skills with dedicated training sessions at her club JB Ski in Surrey.
Indeed, mastering the art of waterskiing is no small feat, yet Willow's journey serves as a testament to the power of dedication and talent. As she gears up to an exciting season ahead , Willow's achievement not only shines a spotlight on her individual triumph but also inspires aspiring female athletes across West Sussex and beyond.
