World Book Week in Primary
Primary spent the whole week celebrating their love for books. The children took part in several exciting activities: designing book covers, based on their blurbs; hunting for Where's Wally letters around the school, which they had to unscramble to reveal a popular book title; designing and creating book caricatures, for their Primary library; a book quiz, which included emojis that had to be interpreted to spell book titles; two author visits, who ran workshops for the children; and much more. The week concluded with the children dressing- up as their favourite book characters and Sycamore Class presenting their Class Assembly to the primary children and their parents about the joy of becoming lost in a book. We had a great week and have already begun to plan how we can go even bigger World Book Week 2020!
