World Earth Day
Primary pupils at CFS enjoyed a meaningful World Earth Day filled with activities focused on caring for our planet. The day began with a BBC Live Lesson and a special assembly, encouraging pupils to reflect on environmental issues.
During “The Big Switch Off,” lights and technology were turned off while pupils took part in Earth-focused learning. Year 6 wrote thought-provoking poems and persuasive letters, Year 3 explored deforestation, and Year 2 created environmental pledges and made charcoal pencils at Forest School.
The day, led by Mrs Hayes, ended with “The Big Outdoor Read,” where pupils enjoyed reading outside and sharing their work.
