Year 12 Trip to Royal Holloway University
Year 12 AS Level History students took a trip to Royal Holloway University of London for a taster day on 'Rethinking Race and Imperialism in the Modern World.' The students loved the campus, especially enjoying the history behind the founding of the university in the early nineteenth century and how it was founded to educate women who were so often denied this privilege. They were treated to a lecture by the renowned Professor Humayun Ansari on Islamphobia in Britain, enjoyed a taste of what university looks like and ended the day taking part in a seminar on race-relations in Mid-Twentieth Century Britain.'
One student enjoyed it so much they are now considering Royal Holloway as their choice of university.
Miss Bentley would like to thank her nicknamed Good Will Hunting class for such an insightful and rewarding trip.
