Year 5 & 6 Girls Rugby event
The sun was shining on a crisp morning at Chichester Rugby Club. 18 girls donned their kits and headed to the field to put into practise what they have been learning during their lunch time training sessions.
Prior to the tournament, many of the girls were not familiar with rugby and the very first training session started with a few unsure faces. However, all girls have shown remarkable progress and determination for the game.
The morning started with some mini games where core skills they have been practising were put into place. The girls were running some good lines, remembering to pass backwards and scoring some tasty tries.
The session culminated in some mini games of rugby. Overall, a great day at Chichester Rugby and lots of smiles on faces. The day was generously hosted by Chichester Rugby Club who are looking to really expand their U12s. The club also caters for and welcomes children of any age to the club.
