Year 7 Girls Rugby
What a fantastic afternoon full of fun and exciting opportunities!
Yesterday afternoon Worthing RFC hosted a mini rugby tournament which included a session on coaching as well has three touch rugby games. The coaching was fantastic and even though we only had 2 girls that have played rugby before the others got stuck in with everyone learning new skills by the time we started playing games.
Some really stand out performances by Amelia, Jasmine and Luna who all picked up the game really quickly. As well as a special shout out to the extremely positive Isla who wouldn’t entertain any negative comments about our team during the whole afternoon.
With a draw and two loses there is definitely work to do but there is real potential in this team especially with more tournaments coming up after Christmas.
Huge congratulations goes to Amelia A, Luna G, Chloe S, Alessia M, Evie D, Lily AH and Isla M who showed tremendous sportsmanship and kindness throughout the afternoon.
