Young Chef success
On 16th March, our Year 11 pupil James Hackman, competed at the Regional finals of the Young Chef of the Year Competition sponsored by the Rotary Club - Chichester Priory after gaining second place at the District finals. The event itself is run by The Rotary Club and takes place all over the UK with chefs competing to get to National Finals and being crowned the Young Chef of the Year.
After a very intense few weeks of preparation and practice the morning of the event came and James cooked a beautiful two course meal with care and attention to detail. He wowed the judges with his dishes of Rabbit two ways and Panna cotta with rhubarb.
James gained high accolades for his dishes from all the judges and during the judging and results he won FIRST PLACE!
This is a huge achievement for James as a chef and he is now going through to compete at the National Finals on 20th April. We wish James the best of luck and cant wait to see his final dishes in April.
